Anniversary Rose

Celebrating 20 years together. One of the beautiful roses in the bouquet.

This was captured using our new Nikon D5600 DSLR with a standard UV filter and macro +2 lens. I didn’t add any enhancements simply because I wanted a raw photo – as is – to get used to the camera. I love the details in the petals as well as the imperfections.

Eye Popping

Captured with an old point-and-shoot, but I still love the vibrant contrasts. I don’t remember where this was taken, but I felt lucky with the shot – the blur of the background and front edge versus the crispness of the center and outer petals.
